  • Why did you choose Rutgers DPT 4+3 Program?: I chose this program because I wanted to actually earn a spot in the program as opposed to being enrolled as part of my enrollment in other universities. Earning a spot in this competitive program instilled a chip on my shoulder that will be beneficial in the long-run.

What made you want to become a Physical Therapist?
For me, it's more than just helping people. It's all about caring for people in need because ultimately, you have no idea what is going on in their lives while they are a patient of yours. While assessing my interests in physical therapy, I came across a patient who said for the first time in their life, they felt cared for. That is my why. If I can have the same impact on other people that I did for that patient, I will feel as if I positively contributed to the wellness of our community, which is critical to me.

How do you think this program has helped you prepare for graduate school?
Based on the curriculum of exercise-science majors on the Physical Therapy track, I think this program helps us become critical thinkers and problem solvers. This is important because in the real world of Physical Therapy, problem solving is a necessary skill in order to be a successful physical therapist.

A fun fact about me is that I love NFL and College football!
