  • Why did you choose Rutgers DPT 4+3 Program?: I chose the DPT 4+3 Program because it gives me the opportunity to apply to graduate school a year earlier than most other schools. The advisers are also truly incredible and I wished to be part of a program where I can gain the support from the staff and my peers.

What made you want to become a Physical Therapist?
My passion for becoming a physical therapist all began when I had to get pediatric physical therapy for Bell’s palsy when I was younger. During the sessions with my PT, I remembered how she was always by my side and  guided me through different engaging exercises. The love and care that I received from my PT made me inclined to pursue the same career, in which I also hope to leave an impact on a patient throughout their journey in rehabilitation and healing.

How do you think this program has helped you prepare for graduate school?
The Rutgers DPT 4+3 Program offers plenty of volunteering opportunities for students to take advantage of and prepares us with an organized set of courses and steps to follow. I appreciate how this program does not only emphasize on academics, but it also focuses on gaining experience outside of the classroom and getting exposed to different clinical settings in preparation for graduate school.

One fun fact about myself is that I helped nurture a pigeon back to health when it was injured.
