What made you want to become a Physical Therapist?
I wanted to become a physical therapist because I believe with exercise, holistic healing, and an overall health program, any individual, can avoid feeling like old age has taken a toll on their body. Moreover, as a physical therapist technician at Trinity Rehab, I have been able to follow patients through a weekly schedule and see the improvement they are experiencing because of physical therapy. It gives me satisfaction that the patients are making improvements and that they are getting better no matter the age or injury that they have sustained.
How do you think this program has helped you prepare for graduate school?
This program has helped me prepare for graduate school by providing me networking opportunities with different physical therapists, graduate admissions staff, and personalized professional development. Through the interview, resume, and cover letter prep I have felt confident to submit my best application forward. In addition, building relationships with Dr. Nagle and Ms. Reuter allows me to know I have supportive people in my corner who want to see me succeed.
A fun fact about me is that I am currently a sister of Omega Phi Chi Multicultural Sorority, Incorporated. I was recently accepted as a McNair Scholar. I love anime!
